Privacy Policy
Effective August 12, 2026
Who we are
Menunize (“we”, “us”) provides menu management for restaurants: a menu builder, hosted public menu pages, and integrations that sync menus with food delivery platforms. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to menunize.com, restaurant menu pages we host (including on subdomains and custom domains), and our integrations.
Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and a password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider).
Restaurant content. Information you add to operate your restaurant on Menunize: restaurant names, locations, addresses, phone numbers, hours, menus, items, prices, photos, dietary and allergen information, and team membership (which users belong to your organization and their roles).
Delivery platform data. If you connect a delivery platform (such as Uber Eats, DoorDash, or Grubhub), we store the identifiers and credentials needed to operate that connection, and we receive data those platforms send us on your behalf — for example menu sync results and, where you enable it, order information (which may include order contents and limited customer details provided by the platform).
Usage data. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). Diners viewing a public menu page are not asked to create accounts.
How we use information
We use this information to provide and improve the service: operating your account and menus, serving your public menu pages, syncing menus to platforms you connect, processing orders those platforms deliver to you, providing support, and keeping the service secure. We do not sell personal information.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in to your account and, via Google Analytics, to measure site usage. Public menu pages served on restaurant subdomains and custom domains do not set authentication cookies.
Service providers
We rely on a small set of infrastructure providers to run Menunize: Supabase (database and authentication, hosted in the United States), Vercel (hosting and content delivery), Google (analytics), and the delivery platforms you choose to connect (data is shared with a platform only when you connect it). Each processes data only as needed to provide their service.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your information while your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to remove your data, we delete the personal information associated with it, except where we must retain records to comply with legal obligations. Disconnecting a delivery platform stops new data flowing from that platform.
Your rights
You can access and update your restaurant information at any time from your dashboard. You may request a copy of your personal data or its deletion by contacting us. If you are located in a jurisdiction that grants additional privacy rights (such as the EU/EEA, UK, or California), we honor requests consistent with those laws.
Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to restaurant data is scoped by role-based permissions, and platform credentials are stored so that they are not readable by client applications. No method of storage is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.
Children
Menunize is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and revise the effective date above.
